Designed Compact. Engineered Tough
The compact Transit Connect is rugged and durable, with high-strength steel and a reinforced body shell with partial double skin sides and twin side crossmembers. The rear bumper is made of rolled steel, designed to absorb impacts while operating in tight spaces. While Transit Connect is compact, it's tough enough to withstand the rigors of everyday on-the-job duty. Transit Connect is certified to Ford Light Commercial Vehicle Durability Standards, with testing to 150,000 customer-equivalent miles.

Lock and Latch Door Locks
Security is especially important in a vehicle that carries expensive equipment and cargo. That's why Transit Connect is equipped with Lock and Latch shielded rear door locks that help resist break-ins. Also, the ignition key is needed to unlock the hood as well as the rear doors.
